The Path of Eternal Truth, Family Happiness, and Celestial Harmony
The Shri Satyanarayan Vrat Katha, chronicled in the Reva Khanda of the sacred Skanda Purana, is among the most popular and revered rituals in Sanatan Dharma. The word 'Satyanarayan' unites two profound cosmic realities: Satya (Absolute Truth) and Narayana (The Supreme Being pervading all creation).
Unlike long and complex Vedic sacrifices that require weeks of preparation, Lord Vishnu Himself declared that in the challenging age of Kali Yuga, listening to the Satyanarayan Katha with pure heart, truthfulness, and family unity is the simplest, most potent pathway to resolve domestic distress, remove financial stagnation, and invite abundance into one's home.
Truth alone is the Supreme Brahman; Truth alone is the highest penance; Truth is the ultimate Dharma, and upon Truth rests the entire universe.

Summary of the 5 Sacred Puranic Chapters
Pandit Ji narrates every chapter in sweet, melodious tones, providing both the Sanskrit stotras and lucid Hindi/English explanations so all generations understand their spiritual meaning.
Divine Origin from Lord Narayana to Sage Narada
Sage Shaunaka and fellow rishis assembled in Naimisharanya forest ask Sage Suta how mankind in Kali Yuga can easily overcome sorrow and attain liberation. Suta reveals how Lord Narayana instructed Devarshi Narada that anyone who performs the Satyanarayan Vrat with truthfulness and devotion attains peace on earth and salvation hereafter.
The Poor Brahmin of Kashi & the Woodcutter
In the holy city of Kashi lived an impoverished pious Brahmin. Lord Vishnu appeared in the guise of an old Brahmin, teaching him the vows of Satyanarayan. The Brahmin followed the instruction and attained prosperity. Witnessing this, a humble woodcutter also pledged his daily earnings to the Vrat and was blessed with immense joy and wealth.
King Ulkamukha and Merchant Sadhu Vaishya
King Ulkamukha performed the Vrat regularly on the riverbank. A wealthy merchant named Sadhu Vaishya, yearning for a child, took a solemn vow to perform the puja once blessed. When his wife Lilavati gave birth to a daughter named Kalavati, he postponed his vow until her marriage, inviting divine testing for his procrastination.
The Ordeal of Sadhu Vaishya & Power of Prasad
Sadhu Vaishya and his son-in-law were falsely accused of theft and imprisoned by King Chandraketu. Their wealth was confiscated. When Lilavati and Kalavati remembered the forgotten Vrat and offered puja, the King released them with double their wealth. Later, Kalavati hurried to meet her returning husband without consuming the sacred Prasad, causing their boats to sink until she repented and partook in the Prasad.
King Tungadhwaja and the Humble Cowherds
King Tungadhwaja, filled with royal pride, ignored the Satyanarayan prasad offered by simple cowherd boys in the forest. As a consequence, his kingdom collapsed and his sons perished. Realizing his supreme arrogance, the king bowed before Lord Satyanarayan, ate the prasad with remorse, and had his entire family and royal glory restored.
